Directions to The Summit of Fort Mountain

From 400 North / Atlanta
Take 400 North to 136 West (just above the Outlet Mall look for Rt 136 and turn left). Take 136 West to 183 West. Continue on 183 West to Hwy 52 West. Follow 52 West signs through the Ellijay town square. Continue on Highway 52 West for 15 miles. Then begin looking for Wilderness View Cabins sign on your right (DO NOT TURN IN) continue on Hwy 52 for another 1.2 miles to reach the office. You will retrieve your key inside the red cabin (Coyote Redd's) located next to The Overlook Inn across from the Scenic Overlook.

From Dahlonega, Georgia
Take Hwy 9 West to Hwy 52 West and follow into Ellijay. Continue through the intersection of Hwy 515 and Hwy 52. (look for a Hardees on the left). Go straight through the light approximately 100ft until the road dead ends at 52 West. Turn left and follow the 52 West signs through the Ellijay town square. Continue on Highway 52 West for 17 miles. Then begin looking for the Wilderness View Cabins sign on your right (DO NOT TURN IN) continue on Hwy 52 for another 1.2 miles to reach the office. You will retrieve your key inside the red cabin (Coyote Redd's) located next to The Overlook Inn on the left across from the Scenic Overlook.

From Atlanta
Take I-75 North to I-575 North. Continue of I-575 until it becomes Highway 515 and continue on to Ellijay. Turn left at the second Ellijay light (Hardees is on the left) and continue straight approximately 100ft until the road dead ends at a stop light. Turn left onto Highway 52 West and follow the 52 West signs through the Ellijay town square. Continue on Highway 52W for approximately 17 miles. Then begin looking for the Wilderness View Cabins sign on your right (DO NOT TURN IN) continue on Hwy 52 for another 1.2 miles to reach the office. You will retrieve your key inside the red cabin (Coyote Redd's) located next to The Overlook Inn on the left across from the second scenic overlook.

Chattanooga, Tennessee
Take I-75 South to Exit #333. Turn left and go East on Highway 52 to Chatsworth. Once in Chatsworth, turn right onto Hwy 411 (McDonalds and Key West Inn are on the corners). Go about one half a mile on Hwy 411, then turn left on Hwy 52 (at the Golden Gallon) and continue East on Highway 52 approximately 8 miles. You will retrieve your key inside the red cabin (Coyote Redd's) located next to The Overlook Inn on the right across from the scenic overlook.
